You don’t have to be an engineer to think like one. We all have the potential to solve our problems and engineer a happy successful life.
Who am I and why should you care?
I am a 22 year old project engineer who wants to share his realities, philosophies, and expectations from life as an engineer with you, my prospective reader. I hope to share some wisdom and perspective you weren’t able to find somewhere else, but here.
My academic background is as follows: I graduated from a University of California in the Southern California region with a Chemical Engineering degree and a minor in Business Management/Accounting.
As for my professional background, after graduation I began a simple job as a Data Entry clerk for a large Construction General Contractor as a means to earn some income while searching for a promising start to my career as an engineer. After six months, I transitioned into a project engineer role. I have since been working as a project engineer on projects ranging from smaller ‘boutique’ jobs to larger high rise projects.
Like many people out of college, I was not prepared for the real world and how different it is from the way college described it to be. No one prepared me for dealing with the real world socially, emotionally, and financially. I’m here to learn, grow, and engineer my journey through life.
I will share with you what I learn and encounter as I wade the waters of life. Everything ranging from the world of engineering, world of finances, to my personal philosophy on life. Join me and let’s embark on an engineered journey.
Yours Truly,
E J
