On Engineering: Many of us get into college, especially engineering, with the promise of being able to pick a fruitful career among the myriad of career choices presented to you at graduation thanks to your Bachelors or Associates degree. This story is true for a good amount of folks out there, but for many of us it simply isn’t our reality. I’m here to share my realities as someone who is from the demographic of “the outsider”, someone who works in a field unrelated to his college degree. I hope the stories I share here help give you a little bit of perspective on the realities of studying engineering and working in engineering.
On Finance: One thing I find fascinating is the the world of finance, everything money related. Basic high school curriculum never teaches personal finance, investing, or the concept of financial independence. I picked up a minor in business and accounting during my time in college which introduced me to many of these concepts. I further continued my education in these topics by immersing myself in books, podcasts, and audiobooks. My goal here is to synthesize what I learn and share it with you in an effort to demystify the 800 pound gorilla in the room, money.
On Philosophy: Once in a while I’ll share a personal philosophy on a random topic in hopes of putting a new perspective out there in the universe for someone else to pick up or pick apart.
